CFMA Sacramento Scholarship Program

The Sacramento Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (“CFMA”) is proud to announce the availability of scholarships in amounts from $500.00 up to $2,500.00. In keeping with its mission to promote education and invest in the community, CFMA is excited to offer scholarship opportunities to qualified persons with an interest in a construction related career. The intent of these scholarships is to be used for one or more of the following:

 Pursuit of a 4-year college degree;
 Pursuit of a 2-year college degree;
 Pursuit of trade, technical or vocational school certificates or degrees; or
 Continuing Education at a college trade, technical or vocational school.

Eligibility for Scholarships:

CFMA Scholarships are to be used for post-secondary education, i.e. college, or technical, trade, or vocational school related expenses. Applicants that are currently attending high school must be in their Senior year.

Applicant must meet one of the following qualifications to be eligible for award:
  Applicant must be an employee of a Sacramento CFMA member company; or
  Applicant must be a dependent of an employee of a Sacramento CFMA member company.
  Note that exceptions may be made on a case by case basis as determined appropriate by the Scholarship Committee.

CFMA Scholarships are open to all fields of study. Choice of study does not have to be construction, finance or accounting related, however construction, finance and accounting related career applicants may receive a preference.

Award and Selection:

The CFMA Scholarship Committee will select the Scholarship winner(s). Personal interviews may be required. Each winner will be awarded a one-time payout and will be notified of his or her award prior to our annual Executive of the Year Awards dinner. Selected Scholarship winners should be prepared to attend an awards presentation to receive their award and to meet with the Scholarship Committee members and other CFMA members.
