The Sacramento Chapter of CFMA was incorporated on November 8, 1988. The initial Officers and Board members were

The Chapter was organized with the objectives of: uniting area Construction Financial Managers; providing a forum through which members can meet to exchange ideas; coordinating Construction Financial Manager education programs; and enhancing the role and promoting the Construction Financial Manager’s image. 
The Chapter has sponsored the following types of activities:

  • Breakfast, dinner and lunch membership meetings
  • Job Site Tours, such as the Rainbow Bridge, Federal Building, Sacramento Airport, Teichert Readymix and Aerojet Solar
  • Full and half day Educational seminars, including The Basics of Construction Accounting
  • Community Service activities, such as “Christmas in April”, “Paint the Town” and “Rebuilding Together”
  • Charitable Fundraising, such as $12,500 donated to Contractors Caring For Kids
  • Social functions, including Annual Golf Tournaments and Annual Holiday Events and mixers


Throughout almost three decades of service, the Chapter has worked with industry organizations, including:

  • Associated Builders and Contractors
  • Associated General Contractors of California
  • American Subcontractors Association
  • California State Univ., Sacramento – Schools of Engineering and Business
  • Sacramento Builders Exchange
  • Women Construction Owners and Executives 

Our Chapter has received over 25 national awards. At CFMA's 2016 National Conference, the Sacramento Chapter was recognized for: 

  • Founder's Recognition Award
  • Chapter Showcase for "Christmas Promise"
